MODEL AB CAPSTAN Heavy duty capstan  built for hard work, and used mainly on charter angling boats the internal motor makes fitting very easy, and makes the unit very weather proof. The large drum and welts give outstanding grip on the anchor rope, you only need 2 turns of rope to haul making it very easy to control and let surge when needed. The motor is 2KW intermittent for the 24 volt model and 1500 watts for the 12 volt model. Both motors are series wound.  Mounting is by 6off blind tapped holes in base (10mm dia).  The weight of the capstan is 25 Kilos approximately.  Rotation can be clockwise or anticlock.
