MODEL D CAPSTAN The smallest capstan in our range for boats up to 20 ft / 6m in length. This small and compact unit is ideal for light work. The internal motor makes it very easy to fit and makes the unit very weather proof. The large welts give outstanding grip on the anchor rope - you only need 2 turns of rope to haul making it very easy to control and let surge when needed. Both the 24 V and 12 V version permanent magnet type motors deliver 400 Watt. The weight of the capstan is approximately10 kg. Rotation can be set to be clockwise or anticlockwise. NOTE: This model does need a wooden pad as the motor protrudes below the base of the capstan about 1/2" / 12 mm.
